On Sunday September 17th, it’s a beautiful day to start the Ashland County Fair, and what better way to kick off fair week, than to enjoy the Ohio State Tractor Pullers Association Sanctioned Event. The event sported 4 different classes, Super Stock Tractors, Super Stock Diesel Trucks, Two Wheel Drive Trucks, and finally, Pro Stock Tractors.
Super Stock Tractors: Ed Johnson took 4th place in this event, driving #10, Big Johnson, with a distance of 318.276 feet. Barry Eliker is in 3rd place, driving #103, Buckeye Bandit, coming in at 326.654 feet. Second Bill Keener is in 2nd place, driving #130, Bambi, with a total distance of 335.876 ft. Jeff Hothem takes 1st place, driving Superstock tractor #24 Fully Loaded, with a distance of 357.330.
Super Stock Diesel Trucks: 4th place was given to Cody Hastings, driving #252, Against the Grain pulling 310.354 ft. It was a close match between Cody Hastings and 3rd place winner JJ Brumby, driving #22, The Rumor, with a distance of 310.664. Justin Gearhart took 2nd place with #46, Cream of the Crop, at a distance of 313.170 ft. Dustin Beheler takes 1st place in this event, with #210, Diggin Deep with a distance of 318.058 feet.
Two Wheel Drive Trucks: Ralph Hunt comes in 4th place in the two-wheel drive truck pull, driving #222, Yellow Thunder, with a distance of 317.478 ft. Mindi White is in 3rd place, driving #29, Sauced Up, pulling 319.522 ft. Carl O’Dell is in 2nd place, driving #155, 2 Timin, with a distance of 323.720 ft. Kelly Nichols takes the lead in 1st place, driving #29, One Fine Edge, with a winning distance of 328.180 ft.
Pro Stock Tractors: The winner of 4th place in the pro stock tractor pulls is awarded to Kevin Schmucker, driving #235, Git-er-Dun 316.474 feet. 3rd place belongs to Jeremy Smith, #21, Spontaneous Combustion 323.276 feet. Reese Shelton took 2nd place, driving #127, International 1206, pulling 329.212 feet. And Dany Schmucker took the lead in 1st place, driving #169, Rampage, with a winning pull of 329.906 ft.
