Two Transported in Car Versus Amish Buggy Accident on State Route 604
Ashland County Sheriff’s Office, Polk Jackson Perry Fire Department & EMS, along with Sullivan EMS responded to State Route 604, by Township Road 53, for a Car versus Amish Buggy accident, at around 5:30pm this evening.
Two juvenile Amish females were going Eastbound on State Route 604 in a horse drawn buggy, when they were struck from the rear by a 2024, white, Subaru, also going Eastbound.
One Amish female was transported by Sullivan EMS, while the other was transported by Polk EMS, to UH Samaritan Medical Center, with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the 2024, white, Subaru was cited with assured clear distance ahead.
The Amish Buggy did not have a flashing yellow light as required by Ohio Law
The Horse sustained minor injuries.
