Man Kicks out Box Truck Windshield After Rollover Accident in 100 block of State Route 302

Ohio Highway Patrol, Ashland County Sheriff's Office, Ohio Department of Transportation, and Polk Fire Department & EMS responded to a single vehicle rollover accident, in the 100 block of State Route 302, around 11:37 AM this morning.

Tyler Gray, 32, of Berlin Heights, Ohio, was driving a 2010 White Freightliner Eastbound on State Route 302, just East of Redhaw, and just before the Wayne County line, when he went off the right side off the roadway and over corrected.

The Freightliner then flipped sideways across the Westbound lane into a field, coming to rest on the passenger's side, facing Westbound, spilling his load of approximately 120 cases of apples. Kicking the windshield out, he was able escape from the vehicle.

Tyler Gray was wearing his seat-belt at the time of the accident, and received minor injuries but was cited for Failure To Control.
